The scene opens with the view of a white brick hallway. More details of our environment are revealed as the camera focuses in. We notice from a constant movement of the camera swaying that the camera person is moving down the hallway. The “Coliseum Home Video” logo fades-in on the bottom right corner of the screen. As we begin approaching an unnaturally lit up area that is unfamiliar in the WWF, we then hear two voices surprisingly clearly.
Unknown: “’Tigerheart’? WHAT?!”
Unknown: “Yeah, you’re ‘Lionheart’ Chris Jericho and I’ll be your best compliment! ‘Tigerheart’ Eddie Guerrero!”
Unknown: “NO! That’s a terrible idea!”
Unknown: “How is that a terrible idea? You aren’t the only one who needs a nickname, Chris! We’re a team now! I can have a nickname too!”
Unknown: “Yeah, but not ‘Tigerheart’! Why not be ‘The Tiger Fist’ Eddie Guerrero?”
Unknown: “’Tiger Fist’? What does that even mean?”
Unknown: “It doesn’t have to mean anything! It just needs to sound cool! You will have the Rock ‘n’ Roll of nicknames!”
Unknown: “Chris! What does THAT even mean?!”
Unknown: “Okay, okay! You don’t like ‘Tiger Fist’, well why not ‘Tiger Lungs’ Eddie Guerrero?”
Unknown: “Because my lungs are normal? It’s my heart that people will notice. Like your heart! We never give up! I’m going to be ‘Tigerheart’.”
Unknown: “You can’t!”
Unknown: “Why not?”
Unknown: “Because I’m ‘Lionheart’! We can’t be the ‘Cathearts'!”
Gene Okerlund: “GUYS! Can we just drop this and get started?!”
The last voice is very identifiable to the viewer. The camera moves into the lit area as we see two relatively unknown men standing next to the Legendary “Mean” Gene Okerlund. Both men are interestingly dressed in their wrestling attires; however, something is off. The smaller man is in a white attire with red flames and the slightly taller man in an off-white attire with blue flames. The two young men are the ones who can clearly be deduced to have been arguing earlier as they are now smiling with very big smiles. Though they look more like kids going to their first day of school rather than Professional Wrestlers debuting in the biggest company in the wrestling world. It is a little obvious now from the setup that the opening footage may have been an editing mistake and is not supposed to be part of the video as we see a few men adjust the lights for the segment. As the men who were adjusting the lights move off screen, Gene Okerlund adjusts his tie and lifts his microphone to speak.
Gene Okerlund: “Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us with another edition of the Coliseum Home Video Series! Later, on this very video tape, you will see some of the greatest matches the WWF has ever seen. You will get Lex Luger & Hulk Hogan vs. The Hart Foundation. You will get the Repo Man vs. Sting. You will get Marty Jannetty vs. Owen Hart. And finally, you will get an exclusive home video rewind of the aftermath of the World Wrestling Federation Championship match. Of course, all these matches will be accompanied with Coliseum Home Video Exclusive content! But first, in one of the Coliseum Home Video exclusives just for you, here next to me are two young men who frankly are two very promising international wrestlers arriving here to the WWF! In a Home Video exclusive, you at home will get to witness the debuts of ‘Lionheart’ Chris Jericho and the newest Generation of the LEGENDARY Guerrero family, Eddie Guerrero! Now, gentlemen, both of you superb athletes have traveled the world and honed your craft. You now have arrived at the premier organization when it comes to Professional Wrestling! How do you feel?”
First Gene moves the microphone to the more prominent wrestler thanks to his lineage, Eddie Guerrero.
Eddie Guerrero: “You know Gene, we’re both happy to be here. Chris and I have traveled the world like you said, and we have honed our crafts. I am a Second-Generation Wrestler and Chris has trained with all his heart to become the type of wrestler to be able to be here today in the WWF. Chris began studying at the legendary Hart Family Dungeon. We know the tough competition here in the WWF, and Chris and I both feel we are ready to compete and do our best here now!”
Eddie’s voice is far more stilted than it was before. He lacks the same level of confidence, and it is painfully obvious from his demeanor he isn’t quite used to speaking in front of a camera. He does a fist bump which has shades of the popular wrestler, Tito Santana. Gene moves the microphone now in front of the young blonde Canadian, Chris Jericho.
Chris Jericho: “That’s right, ‘Mean’ Gene! It is just like my partner, Eddie said. We are here, well-traveled from all over the world. We wrestled in Japan, in Mexico, in Europe, and now we are here to take our shot in the big leagues! We are here to challenge all the great wrestlers here at the WWF! Also, as my partner also said, we are here to fight with all our heart! We’re happy to be here and we are going to do our best, right Eddie?”
Eddie still smiling with that big toothy grin nods as they two men seem pumped to be in the WWF. Like Eddie, Jericho’s voice also is far more stilted than the earlier conversation the camera picked up. From how the entire situation has gone down it appears more obvious that the earlier conversation wasn’t supposed to make it to this film.
Gene Okerlund: “Well fellas, you certainly have the fire and the ‘Heart’ to succeed. Wrestling fans stay tuned for more of these two young dynamic wrestlers on Monday Night RAW and on Pay Per Views to come! However, now, it is time to head to ringside for a great WWF match that happened a few weeks ago! Lex Luger, Hulk Hogan, The Hart Foundation! Take it down to Vince McMahon and Jerry ‘the King’ Lawler calling the action!”
The camera fades to Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler standing by in front of the announce desk. If you look close enough however, something appears a little off about the movement behind the men. Many could suspect it is green screened.
Vince McMahon: “What a dynamic duo indeed, King! These two young men are extremely talented young men ready to take the WWF by storm!”
Jerry Lawler: “They’re promising alright, promising to look stupid! Then again with that ridiculous mustache and girly blonde hair, God already beat them to it!”
Vince McMahon: “WILL YOU STOP?! Anyways-”
As Vince continues talking about the following pre-taped match-up our scene concludes.
