WWF IN YOUR HOUSE opens up inside the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center in Birmingham, Alabama for a huge, action packed Halloween night Pay Per View event! The entrance area is decked out in Halloween decorations as multi-colored strobe lights go crazy across the stage and ramp and pyro shoots off the stage and into the sky. Michael Jackson's "Thriller" plays as Vince McMahon welcomes us to the first Pay Per View of this new era in the World Wrestling Federation!
Vince McMahon: Hello, everyone! Happy Halloween and WELCOME TO IN... YOUR... HOUSSSSSSSSSE!! It's the first Pay Per View event of the new era and it's coming to you LIVE RIGHT NOW! No tricks, only treats are in store for you tonight as we crown THREE - yes, THREE new champions as well as determine number one contenders for a couple of those titles and we have the greatest athletes in all of sports stepping into the ring tonight to determine who will walk out with those prestigious honors. Isn't that right, King?
Jerry "The King" Lawler: You've got that right, McMahon! OWEN HART is in our main event where we are going to crown the first World Champion! And not only that, it's a FATAL FOUR WAY INSIDE A CAGE!
Vince McMahon: But... but there's three other men in that match, King. It isn't just Owen out there, you know.
Jerry "The King" Lawler: What? Oh... oh yeah! There's also the sickeningly sweet Hulk Hogan, Lex Luger and... ugh... Owen's loser big brother Bret in that contest. But you know what, McMahon?
Vince McMahon: What's that, Jerry?
Jerry "The King" Lawler: I compare those guys to the candy corn that you get while trick or treating! You know, all the old people love to hand it out but nobody likes that garbage! It's too sweet and it rots your teeth without even being enjoyable! Owen is the chocolate, McMahon! Owen is a Snickers bar and Bret, Hulk and Lex are candy corn! Haha!
Vince McMahon: Oh my dear... anyways, fans - that's not the only Fatal Four Way for the night! WWF President Gorilla Monsoon joined Todd Pettengill on last week's Mania to announce there will be ANOTHER Fatal Four Way - this one a LADDER MATCH - and the Intercontinental Title is up for grabs in that one! It should be a doozie as Crush, Taz, Rob Van Dam and Brian Pillman square off in what should be another brutal matchup with high stakes!
Jerry "The King" Lawler: And we can't forget the European title either, McMahon! It's The Mountie versus The Rock for the European title and it's a CATTLEPROD ON A POLE MATCH! HAHAHA!! It's going to be a SHOCKING Halloween for The Rock and his stupid face!
Vince McMahon: And then there's Goldberg making his WWF debut as he faces the red hot Marty Jannetty to find out who will be the number one contender to whomever wins that Fatal Four Way ladder match later tonight! Marty has a ton of heart... but can his heart overcome the brute strength of Da Man?!
Jerry "The King" Lawler: Speaking of debuts... we have two more! Both Eddie Guerrero and Chyna will also make their debuts as they face off to see who will be the number one contender for the European championship!
Vince McMahon: And then to top it all off we will air an intimate one on one sit down interview I had with "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes who is currently undefeated in the WWF to see what lies in store for that young man here in the World Wrestling Federation! But without any further adieu, let's take you down to ringside for the first match of the night!!
EUROPEAN TITLE #1 CONTENDER MATCH
CHYNA vs. EDDIE GUERRERO
The first match of the night saw Chyna battle Eddie Guerrero in a surprising contest to say the least. The match started off with Eddie on the offensive as he seemingly toyed with Chyna, doing snapmares, leg trips, etc, obviously not taking the 9th Wonder of The World seriously.
This ended up giving Chyna an opportunity however, and she caught Eddie by surprise with a neckbreaker. From there Chyna mounted an offensive and began to assault Eddie with punch after punch, much to the fans delight.
Late in the match after some back and forth, we saw Eddie finally get serious and nail Chyna with a beautiful tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Eddie then proceeded up the ropes and attempted his frog splash, to which Chyna rolled out of the way from. Chyna then grabbed Eddie, lifting him up and dragging him to the turnbuckle post where she began to smash his head into it repeatedly. After bashing his head so much that blood was pouring down his face, she finished the job with a hard Pedigree and the cover for the 1 2 3 to a motionless Eddie. Your winner - Chyna!
WINNER BY PINFALL: Chyna
INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE #1 CONTENDER MATCH
MARTY JANNETTY vs. GOLDBERG
The second match saw a hungry and impressive Marty Jannetty in action against Goldberg. Jannetty started off great by outmanuevering Goldberg as Goldberg attempted an early spear. This caused Goldberg to crash right into the turnbuckle post, injuring his shoulder.
From there Jannetty went to work with stomps right to the shoulder of a downed Goldberg. Jannetty then picked Goldberg up and began to smash his head into the turnbuckle repeatedly. As Goldberg fell back to the mat Jannetty went for a cover only to get a two count.
Later in the match Goldberg had made a comeback after a big boot to the face of Jannetty, however was still favoring his shoulder. The end came when Goldberg lifted Jannetty up for the Jackhammer and his shoulder gave way. Jannetty landed on his feet, turned Goldberg around and immediately hit the Rocker Dropper.
Jannetty, instead of going for the pin, picked Goldberg up and hit a second Rocker Dropper for good measure, this time covering for the 1, 2, 3. Your winner and new number one contender- Marty Jannetty.
WINNER BY PINFALL: Marty Jannetty
Cameras cut back to Vince McMahon and Jerry "The King" Lawler at ringside.
Vince McMahon: What a way to kick off the show and what a couple of performances there from Chyna and Marty Jannetty, isn't that right, King?
Jerry "The King" Lawler: ...
Vince McMahon: Jerry?
Jerry "The King" Lawler: ... huh? OH! Oh yeah, McMahon! Interesting!
Vince McMahon: What has you so distracted? We just crowned number one contenders for the European and Intercontinental championships, wake up, King!
Jerry "The King" Lawler: Well you see, Vince, I just noticed this drop dead blonde over there in the crowd sitting beside that doofus Dustin Rhodes.
Vince McMahon: That doo... do you mean Dustin's wife? That's Terri Rhodes, Dustin's wife you're talking about there!
Cameras cut to ringside where "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes and his wife Terri are sitting in the crowd, enjoying the night's show. They both look over to the camera and smile and wave to all of the fans watching from home tonight on Pay Per View worldwide!
Jerry "The King" Lawler: Oh come on, McMahon! You want me to believe that SHE married HIM?! Come on, now!
Vince McMahon: I... But I'm not... anyways, fans, speaking of Dustin Rhodes and his lovely wife, I was able to sit down in their home earlier this week for a one on one interview with The Natural as we talked about the past and what the future holds for him here in the World Wrestling Federation! Let's cut to that sit down interview right now!
The program fades into a pre-taped scene from earlier in the week inside the home of "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes. Both Dustin and Vince McMahon are sitting in front of a fireplace in two leather chairs that have been placed side by side across from each other in front of a fireplace that has a nice, warm and calming fire going inside it. Between the two is a small end table with a Jack-o-Lantern sitting on it full of candy. Other various Halloween decorations can be seen about. Dustin offers Vince some candy to which he politely declines and in to the camera's view walks Dustin's lovely wife Terri who hands both Vince and her husband black mugs with yellow polka dots on them full of hot chocolate. Vince graciously accepts and thanks the lovely Terri before she walks off. Vince takes a sip of the hot chocolate and sighs in delight before clearing his throat and beginning the interview.
Vince McMahon: Dustin, I just want to say thank you so much for allowing me inside your home today.
"The Natural" Dustin Rhodes: No thank you, Vince. The pleasure is all mine.
Vince McMahon: Now... since you arrived here in the WWF, to say you've been impressive would be an understatement. In fact, you have been nothing short of amazing! Two dominating wins in back to back weeks on Mania against the likes of Raven and The Rock and if I were a betting man I would say you don't look to slow down anytime soon. Am I right?
"The Natural" Dustin Rhodes: Yes, I'd say you're right on the money there, Vince.
Vince McMahon: And you've had your father there in your corner for both of those wins which I'm sure has helped you a great deal with both of those contests.
"The Natural" Dustin Rhodes: It has. My father certainly projects quite the large shadow onto me, I know that. And he knows that. It can be daunting to even think about. But he's done his best... he's actually done great taking me under his wing and mentoring me and really getting me ready for the big time here in the WWF.
Vince McMahon: That's great! It's certainly an edge that most WWF superstars don't get the privilege of having at their disposal. Having a living legend to guide them to the top. Speaking of the top, though, one has to think about championship titles. This Sunday night we're of course having a big Halloween party live on Pay Per View when we bring everyone In Your House in Birmingham, Alabama! There we are going to crown three new champions... now I know your father was never able to obtain a championship title here in the WWF... is that something you can see yourself aspiring to do here?
Dustin looks in the distance in deep thought. He brings his black mug with yellow polka dots full of rich hot chocolate to his mouth and takes a sip before responding to McMahon's question.
"The Natural" Dustin Rhodes: You know, Vince... championships are nice. They look nice hanging from the walls, they look nice on a stat sheet, they're good for the ego... sure. But is the ego good for man? Well that's a can of worms and I'm not gonna sit here and waste your time with a nasty can of worms, Vince. I'm here to maintain and to grow a legacy. The Rhodes legacy. Nothing more and nothing less. Now if that means along the way I win every title belt the WWF has to offer... well then that's great. Champions get paid more money and I need to put food on the table. But championships don't make a man. Showing up to work and work hard every single day, putting your best foot forward and giving everything you do one hundred percent is what makes a man. That's what makes a legend. Never compromising your dignity to get ahead. So every single match that is what I'm gonna do. Whether that's for a leather strap with a few hunks of gold screwed into it or not I don't give a damn! I'm gonna give every single ounce of effort in my body every single match. That's the Rhodes way.
Vince McMahon: Well put, young man! I'm sure everyone else watching along will agree with me when I say your daddy has brought you up right. And we all look forward to seeing what fate has in store for you next here in the WWF! Thank you for having me here today with you in your lovely home, Dustin.
Vince smiles and offers his hand which Dustin humbly accepts and shakes. The scene fades to black and into the next match for the night...
CATTLEPROD ON A POLE MATCH FOR THE WWF EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP
THE MOUNTIE vs. THE ROCK
The third match of the night saw The Mountie face off against The Rock for the World Wrestling Federation European Championship!
The Rock came to fight and right as the bell sounded he laid into The Mountie with furious right hands, backing The Mountie up against the ropes, and then pulled off a stiff clothesline sending The Mountie right over to the outside.
Later in the match we saw The Mountie come back after reversing a back suplex and turning it into a DDT. He picked The Rock up however and continued the offensive with a stiff right, but The Rock fought back and both men came to blows in an all out fist fight.
The ending came when The Rock his "The People's Elbow" on The Mountie but, due to exhaustion was slow in stumbling towards the cattleprod. Just as The Rock was reaching for it, The Mountie was able to get up and come in from behind. He locked in the Carotid Control sleeper and tossed The Rock to the mat before grabbing the cattleprod and shoving it right into the midsection of a downed Rock. He made the pin and the ref counted to 3. The winner and NEW WWF European Champion - The Mountie!
*After the match we saw The Mountie continue his assult on The Rock by continuing to dish out punishment with the cattleprod. The Mountie would hold it against The Rock's neck until he lay there convulsing on the mat and foaming from the mouth. The scene was sent to a commercial while emergency crews and officials ran out to stop the carnage*
WINNER BY PINFALL: The Mountie
We join Vince and The King again at the announce booth where Lawler is hamming it up, laughing at how The Rock was laying in the ring motionless foaming from the mouth from the cattleprod. He tries his best to calm himself down as he wipes the tears from his eyes.
Jerry "The King" Lawler: Oh my God, what did I tell you, Vince?! What a SHOCKING Halloween for The Rock. Hey, someone call animal control, I think The Rock has rabies! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Vince McMahon: You... you should just be ashamed of yourself, King! Dammit, we ALL should be ashamed of ourselves! Happy Halloween to the Johnson family! Well folks, I'm hearing we are getting word from the returning RAVEN! Let's cut to that now!
Slumped against a locker sits Raven. Torn jean shorts, a black shirt and leather jacket, he sits on the floor with the camera situated directly in front of him.
Raven: Good, evil. Right, wrong, God and the Devil.
Raven kicks away a pebble sat at his feet, as he remains fixated on the floor, his hair still covering his face.
Raven: Violence… Greed… Perversions… The devil takes the brunt of all that is wrong. What you perceive as the general cruelty of mankind for centuries has been scapegoated as the work of Satan. It’s easier to blame unseen dark forces than it is for us to face the duality that rages within us all. It’s easier to blame something that you can’t see, for the things that you can.
A quiet sigh escapes his throat.
Raven: It gives us comfort to have narratives that explain why things happened, why our stories turned out the way they did. All the good that we’ve seen and all the evil that we’ve done.
For the first time, Raven looks up at the camera, his piercing eyes are just about visible through his hair.
Raven: But rather than turn the light on ourselves and rather than looking at the bigger picture, it’s easier to explain things more quickly and easily by attributing the blame on to others. I could blame my Father and Mother for who I am, for who I have become… But I only have myself to blame.
He pushes his hair back and rests his head up against the locker behind him, looking up at the ceiling.
Raven: Moving the blame onto someone or something else is the perfect way to avoid having to delve deep into your own psyche. You can be content with the fact you can remain blissfully unaware of your own weaknesses, you can hold on to your brittle, fragile little ego.
Cold and emotionless he continues.
Raven: There are no dark forces at work here. No hidden spirits that have control over you. Look at yourself in the mirror and start taking responsibilities for your actions and life shall give you all that you desire.
Raven smirks.
Raven: Quote the Raven, nevermore.
The scene fades to black.
FATAL FOUR WAY LADDER MATCH FOR THE WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP
BRIAN PILLMAN vs. ROB VAN DAM vs. TAZ vs. CRUSH
Match Four saw Brian Pillman, RVD, Taz, and Crush go to war in a Fatal Four Way Ladder match for the World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Championship!
Right from the start Crush was on the offensive. RVD went to the ropes for a top rope body splash but Crush caught him and tossed him right over the top rope like a rag doll.
Next, Crush grabbed Pillman and Taz and smashed their heads together in a thunderous double headbutt before grabbing Pillman and delivering a stiff piledriver, and kicking him out of the ring under the ropes.
Finally the end came as Taz was the only one left in the ring with Crush. Crush kicked Taz in the midsection and pulled off an amazing powerbomb, but he wasn't finished yet - He picked Taz up and locked in the Kona Clutch, squeezing his head as hard as he could before lifting him still by his head, and slamming him back down. Crush with the cover, and an easy dominating 1 2 3. Your winner and NEW WWF Intercontinental Champion - Crush.
WINNER BY PINFALL: Crush
We see a live feed and we see Mean Gene standing next to the logo for In Your House. We see the backstage is decorated for Halloween and we see Mean Gene raise the mic.
Mean Gene: Ladies and gentlemen, what a night it has been so far but my guest at this time has brought with him a very special guest of his own. He met this young man earlier today and I must say he looks great. Hulk Hogan, please tell us about your very special guest.
We see Hulk Hogan come from off camera with a young fan who is dressed like Hulk Hogan. He does Hogan's poses with Hogan and Hogan stands next to the youngster with his hand on his head.
Hulk Hogan: Well you know something Mean Gene!!! Earlier today right here in Birmingham the WWF had a costume contest and I was the judge of that contest dude. The contest was a Hulk Hogan look alike contest man and let me say this little guy blew me away with the costume. You see this Mean Gene.
Mean Gene looks the young man over and he puts the mic to the kid.
Mean Gene: What is your name and how old are you?
The kid looks at Hogan and than back at Gene.
Kid: Well you know something Mean Gene my name is Robert and I'm 8 years old and Hulk Hogan is the greatest dude!!! Tonight when he steps into that steel cage with Bret Hart, Owen Hart and Lex Luger he will let the 24 inch pythons do the talking for him and he will walk out of here as the WWF Champion and WHATCHA GONNA DO MEAN GENE!!!
Mean Gene looks at Hogan.
Mean Gene: The kid is good Hulkster!!!
Hulk Hogan: Robert is great man. I wanted the world to see this young dude and let me he is in the Halloween spirit Mean Gene. Hogan and Robert pose as we see them walk off as we fade on Gene back to ringside.
FATAL FOUR WAY CAGE MATCH FOR THE WWF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
HULK HOGAN vs. BRET HART vs. LEX LUGER vs. OWEN HART
The Main Event of the night saw Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Owen Hart, and Lex Luger trapped together in a steel cage for the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship!
The match progressed all 4 men were looking great. At one point Luger sent Owen flying with a running lariot, almost taking Owen's head off. Luger then turned his attention to Hogan and pulled off the same lariot to a mix of cheers and boos. Luger then picked Bret up and went for the Torture Rack but Bret escaped and kicked the leg out from Luger, sending him to the mat.
Later in the match we saw Bret now with the advantage as he grabbed Hogan by the head and furiously slammed his head into the Cage wall. Luger tried to run in behind Bret with another lariot but Bret ducked and Luger crashed into the cage wall as well. Owen seeing what was happening took the opportunity and tried to quickly climb out, but Bret caught him and pulled him down, crashing to the mat.
Towards the end of the match we saw Owen now dominating as he worked the legs of Bret by savagely kicking them repeatedly before locking in the sharpshooter. As Bret lay there screaming, we saw Luger and Hogan exchanging blows to which Hogan got the upperhand and send Luger reeling with the big boot. Hogan now turned his attention to Owen and grabbed him, breaking up the sharpshooter. Owen however caught Hogan by surprise with a quick inziguri.
The match came to an end with Hogan psyching up and laying waste to the three other men with furious fists. Hogan then took both Owen and Bret at the same time and tossed them right into the side of the cage before turning his attention towards Luger. Luger and Hogan then began to exhange blows again, this time with Luger coming out ahead by a surprise elbow to the face of Hogan. Luger grabbed Hogan and lifted him up into the torture rack.
As Luger held Hogan up in the Torture Rack however, both Owen and Bret were slowly crawling to the cage door. Owen was able to grab Bret by the head while both still lay on the mat and smash his head into the mat, slowing him down. Owen then attempted to get up at which point Luger finally realized what was happening. Luger ran over after dropping Hogan and Owen reacted in time, taking him out with a clothesline! Bret pulled himself up, drenched in sweat and wobbly from one Hell of a battle with three other great competitors. JIM CORNETTE CAME RUNNING DOWN THE RAMP! He looked at both Owen and Bret and the three smiled! Cornette unlocked the door to the cage and Owen lets Bret escape! The bell rang and your winner AND NEW WWF Heavyweight Champion - Bret "The Hit Man" Hart!
WINNER BY SUBMISSION: Bret Hart
Cornette runs to the time keeper and yanks the World championship up in his hands! He runs back to Bret victoriously holding the belt high in the air and drapes it over Bret's shoulder. Jim Cornette and Owen each grab an arm of The Hitman and hold them high in the air as Lex Luger and Hulk Hogan are both left in the ring, disgusted by what they are seeing. They have very obviously been robbed of a fair finish to a fantastic match. Both men have given it their all in the ring tonight and can't possibly let the night's events slide. What will be Luger and Hogan's next moves in the war for the world championship? Tune into Mania to find out!
